LPW - Emile Jacot, Locle, 41mm, 14K gold original HC with green guilloche enamel and black tracery enamel to front and rear, front with polychrome enamel portrait of a woman playing a lute and wearing a necklace inset with mine cut diamonds, 1882 presentation engraving inside front, signed gold cuvette, white enamel SS dial, KWKS, lever escapement, 15J, gilt mvt, s#92362 within case. Gross weight of assembled watch 29.1 dwt (45.4 g).
CONDITION:
Mvt: NR, ticking when dial down and stopping when dial up, overhaul needed, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, scattered short scratches and fine scratches; dial with small edge chips under bezel at 5:30 and 9, small edge flakes under bezel at 4, fading of 11 and 12 numerals; fine hands of mismatched color, hour and minute are plum colored, seconds-hand is blue; case shows very little wear, dent to lower perimeter of front adjacent hinge area, some dings or nicks to band between 2 and 4, excellent engraving detail, polychrome enamel portrait is fully intact with surface scratches, green guilloche enamel is virtually fully intact to front and rear with surface scratches and only a small flake of loss at upper rear portion, black tracery enamel is nearly fully lost from front with only some small bits remaining intact, black tracery enamel to rear is mostly intact with some portions of loss, one diamond is missing from woman's necklace in portrait, bezel is brass; tight brassy bow, push shows light wear; good glass crystal.
